Apply for a space technology career by September 19th

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology is a deemed university functioning under the auspices of the Faculty of Space Sciences, Valiamala, Thiruvananthapuram. course
1) BTech Aerospace Engineering is a 75 seat 4 year course.
2) BTech Electronics and Communication Engineering (Avionics) has 75 seats. This course is 4 years.
3) Dual Degree; 5 years: BTech in Engineering Physics and MTech in either MS Astronomy and Astrophysics/Solid-State Astrophysics or Earth Systems Science/Optical Engineering. There are 24 seats. Merely his BTech is not enough in these subjects.

Selection
Applicants must have passed at least 75% plus 2 points. Convert mathematics, physics, and chemistry scores with a unique formula to create a ranking table. Candidates in the scheduled category and disabled must have 65% of his score.

In addition, applicants must have scored 4% each in mathematics, physics, and chemistry for a total score of 16% in the 2022 Joint Entrance Examination. Meanwhile, backward communities and economically weaker sections should score 3.6% and 14.4% respectively. Candidates and Disabled in the scheduled categories should have scores of 2% and 8% respectively.

Selection is not made through joint seat allocation agencies dealing with admission to Indian Institutes of Technology and National Institutes of Technology. Reservations are available in accordance with central government guidelines. However, there is no NRI reservation or administrative capacity. Indian citizens can apply.

Indians and Indians residing overseas may apply, but are not eligible for reservation benefits. Moreover, they are not considered for employment with the Indian Space Research Organization or the Space Department after graduation.

There is a registration fee of Rs 600. Applicants from underdeveloped and planned communities, economically weak sections, persons with disabilities and all categories of female candidates have to pay Rs 300.

The ranked list will be published on September 19th at 5pm. Branch preferences, on the other hand, can be submitted by 5:00 pm on September 20th. Seat assignment/acceptance is from September 21st to October 27th. Selected candidates must attend the Institute on October 31st.

Other details
Students should stay on campus. Semester fee including dormitory fee is Rs 92,000 for him. In the meantime, eligible candidates will be able to take advantage of fee relief. Five candidates included in her first 1,000 ranks of JEE – Advanced are exempt from paying the first year fee. If we can maintain a 9/10 grade point average every year, this will continue.

On the other hand, other students who earn a grade point average of 9/10 during the semester will be required to pay half of the tuition fee the following semester. Only 10% of students in each program receive this fee waiver.

Those who achieve a score of at least 7/10 in the pre-final class and graduate with a grade point average of 7.5/10 will be placed in ISRO or Space Division Scientist/Engineer posts, depending on availability. However, those who cannot find employment can look for other jobs. There is a placement cell within the campus. In addition, high performing students in her BTech in aerospace and electronic engineering earn fellowships to pursue her nine-month master’s program at Caltech.
