If you want to get hands-on experience with the upcoming Artemis 1 launch, here’s your chance.
LEGO Education has teamed up with NASA’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida to bring a unique hands-on building and learning experience to Artemis 1’s scheduled launch on Monday (August 29) .
From Friday (August 26th) to Monday (August 29th), LEGO Education will present a special interactive exhibit called Build to Launch: A STEAM Exploration Series. (opens in new tab)At NASA’s Debus Conference Facility Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex (opens in new tab)This exhibit offers attendees the opportunity to learn about the Artemis 1 program through a hands-on experience that teaches them what it takes to build a spacecraft capable of traveling between the moons.

LEGO Education calls the exhibit “an immersive, hands-on learning experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM),” and participants include two LEGO Education minifigures, Kate and Kyle as Artemis. I need help getting ready for the launch of 1.
This experience includes 3 learning modules from building LEGO to launching. Reaching Space, Testing and Transporting, and Working in Space, his STEAM exploration series co-designed with NASA. Participants can complete his three hands-on missions along Kate and Kyle’s pre-flight checklist. It takes about 10 minutes.

In addition to the exclusive interactive Artemis 1 experience, LEGO Education and KSC are offering a series of “Engineer Design Challenges and Make and Take Activities” Lego Build to Launch: STEAM Exploration Seriesoffers a free 10-week study series available online.

Artemis 1, the unmanned test flight of NASA’s Space Launch Systems rocket and Orion spacecraft that will ultimately return astronauts to the moon, will begin on Monday (August 29) from Pad 39B at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. It is scheduled to be launched.
