Smith School of Business Online Master of Science in Business Analytics (OMSBA) program is flexible for early to mid-career professionals from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds, seeking to harness the power of analytics to make data-driven business decisions is increasing.
The new iteration of the program replaces mandatory synchronous class sessions with both asynchronous learning and regular live touchpoints with faculty. “Live sessions allow students to interact with faculty and staff to further clarify content. Students build business application skills in predictive analytics, data management, statistical modeling, and decision science using essential tools such as Python, R, SQL, and Tableau. Course topics range from predictive analytics and big data/AI to numerous domain electives in marketing, finance and supply chain analysis.
Participants study under prestigious university professors Michelle Wedell, an expert in consumer science and one of the top 2% of the most cited academics and scientists worldwide. Joining him and Acharya in offering the program will be clinical professors. Gisela Baldosya member of the Decision Science Institute and the Consortium for the Advancement of Undergraduate Statistical Education, has expertise in statistical and quantitative methods for business decision making.
For prospective OMSBA students looking to brush up on their fundamental technical skills, Smith will be offering mini-courses and workshops (date TBC) focused on statistical concepts, structured programming, and related technical skills. Offer an analytics bridge program.
