The Greater Escondido Chamber of Commerce will host its 111th Annual Installations & Awards Dinner on Thursdays from 5-8pm at The Center Escondido (Lexus) at 1205 Auto Parkway. Member companies are recognized for their achievements. Enjoy food, drink and entertainment. The theme is “Aloha Night” and the dress code is tropical. Tickets on sale for prefectural events
The Encinitas Chamber of Commerce will host the 2022 City of Encinitas Address at Alila Marea Beach Resort on September 1 from 5:30-8:00 PM. The theme for this year’s event is ‘The State of Our City is ‘Poised and Ready”. Katherine Her Mayor Breakspeare will deliver the keynote address, reflecting on her three terms as mayor and vision for Encinitas’ future, and recognizing outstanding local businesses. The Encinitas Chamber of Commerce and her three 101s (Encinitas 101 Main Street Association, Leucadia 101 Main Street Association and Cardiff 101 Main Street) each also look back on her year. Food samples from local restaurants will be provided at the 5:30 PM reception. Drinks are available for purchase. The formal program begins at 7:00 pm. Brewery Hosts Anniversary Party
Independent craft brewery Second Chance Beer Company is celebrating its 7th anniversary on Saturday, August 27 from 4-10pm at its Carmel Mountain headquarters. The party features the New Day West Coast IPA release, live music, a cornhole tournament ($20 admission), and happy hour specials. Gyminny Kids is celebrating its 35th anniversary and will be grand opening its second location on August 28th from 1-4pm at the new Gyminny Kids Poway, 12850 Brookprinter Place. Free climbing, BBQ at open house
The Mesa Lim North City Climbing and Fitness Center hosts a free Youth Open House on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. Youth climbers ages 7 to her 17 are free to climb around the facility while parents can learn about the center’s programs. New members get a free trial and climbing session to try out the facility. Job fairs provide opportunities for employers
Vista High School will hold an end of summer job fair on campus from 1:05 pm to 1:45 pm on Fridays. Prospective employers are invited to meet students who are ready to hire. Please park in the guest parking lot in the front parking lot of the school. Tables and chairs are provided.
